Casa responded swiftly to the global pandemic’s arrival in Australia in March, 2020 with a Covid-19 Safety Plan to protect staff and participants.
In June 2022, the NT Government dropped the requirement for businesses to have a Covid Safety Plan but Casa continues to monitor the Covid pandemic in Central Australia and to follow the NT Chief Health Officer’s directives.
We strive to ensure staff and participants have the equipment and training to slow the spread of Covid and other infections.
Casa’s Covid Safety Plan includes:
- Communication and training of staff to ensure masks are worn
- Ongoing auditing of PPE, restocking and staff training
- Regular communication to staff about hand hygiene, masks, vaccines, RATs
- A 24/7 Response Plan in event of a serious outbreak.
